BBC One drama The Paradise at Biddick Hall and Lambton Castle
The BBC One original drama series The Paradise was filmed exclusively at Lambton Castle and Biddick Hall which are both on Lambton Estate in County Durham.
Lambton Castle became a purpose built set and different rooms and locations were used inside and outside Biddick Hall.

The Paradise is the biggest BBC drama to be made in the North East and filming started in February 2012.
Bill Gallagher's adaptation of the much-loved classic French novel by Emile Zola is an intoxicating love story set in the vibrant world of a Victorian department store.
The cast includes Sarah Lancashire, Elaine Cassidy, Matthew McNulty and Emun Elliott.
